Say hello to our newest family member — Emil Pieniniemi.
Pieniniemi is a 2005-born Finnish defenseman currently playing for Kärpät U16. He is very smart and mobile on the ice, and was an All-Star defenseman at last month’s Pohjola Camp.
We are very proud and happy to welcome Pieniniemi to the family, and look forward to representing him.
Emil Andrae and Zion Nybeck are taking the climb from HV71 J20 to the men’s team this upcoming season.
”Two great talents who have already shown this year that they are mature and ready for [A-team] games,” says Johan Hult, head of sports at HV71, in an article posted on the club’s official website.
We are seeing the rapid development of the COVID-19 virus all over the world, even with countries closing borders. In our little hockey world, most leagues and playoffs have postponed or cancelled.
Over the last few weeks, we have been taking all the necessary precautions. We have been watching games from home and have avoided traveling as much as possible as of late.
Planned events and camps for our clients and player development have been postponed.
It is very unfortunate and disappointing that some or all camps might be cancelled due to this extreme situation around the world.
Our advise is that you take any and every precaution and follow the advice of public health professionals in your city/country. Avoid unnecessary travel, crowds, restaurants, wash your hands frequently, and keep a safe distance between yourselves and other individuals.

The 23-year-old forward has spent the last two season, as well as the first half of this season, with Luleå HF. He tallied 19 points (8G, 11A) in 32 games before leaving the club for Örebro.
