Emil Andrae and Zion Nybeck have both signed 3-year contract extensions with HV71.
”Both Zion and Emil are two great talents who are facing an exciting hockey future. They have already shown proof of their skill in our men’s team both last season and this season. These are fantastic guys to work with and they have a great desire to develop both as individually and as a team,” said HV71 GM Johan Hult in a press release published on the team’s website.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs may be coming to an end and summer is almost over, but regular season hockey – at least in Europe – is shortly upon us.
Here are a few client updates going into the upcoming season:
David Berhardt is staying in Finland, playing for SaiPa of Liiga
Darren Nowick has signed a two-year contract extension with Skellefteå AIK
The Philadelphia Flyers have loaned Linus Sandin to HV71
Carter Camper has signed a two-year contract with Leksands IF
Axel Andersson is set to pay with Södertälje SK is he does not earn a spot with the Anaheim Ducks come training camp
We would also like to welcome some new faces to the family, including:
Andreas Jonatan Berggren – 2000-born forward and Detroit Red Wings 2018 draft pick, set to start his fourth SHL season with Skellefteå AIK
Andreas Borgman – 1995-born defenseman who has spent the past three seasons in the NHL (Maple Leafs) and AHL (Toronto Marlies and San Antonio Rampage)
Carter Camper – 1988-born AHL veteran; played for Providence Bruins, Springfield Falcons, Binghamton Senators, Hershey Bears, Albany Devils, Cleveland Monsters, Tucson Roadrunners, Grand Rapids Griffins and the Utica Comets
We are very much looking forward to the upcoming hockey season!
Simon Bertilsson is heading home, as the 29-year-old defenseman has signed a 4-year contract with Brynäs IF.
Bertilsson has spent nearly his entire professional career with Brynäs, playing only one season (2019-2020) in the KHL with HK Sochi.
”Simon Bertilsson has a very strong background with our organization and has been a Brynäs player since junior age and constantly maintains a very high SHL level,” said GM Michael Sundlöv in an article posted on the team’s official website.
NHL, here he comes! Linus Sandin has signed a one-year entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, to begin in the 2020-2021 season.
The 23-year-old right winger has spent the last three seasons playing in the SHL, most recently with HV71. Over the course of that time, Sandin has recorded 66 points (38G, 28A) in 143 games.
